I hope this communication finds you safe and well with your families. The Knights of our council have been busy over the past month, assisting with the eight Confirmation Masses held at St. Michael’s and St. Mary’s, participating in the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Greenland clinic which ended on All Saints Day, holding membership drives at St. Michael’s and St. Mary’s, generating interest, and we have five potential candidates eager to join our council. We have Christmas trees coming on November 19, and we’ll be selling trees and wreaths in the parking lots of both churches this year, beginning November 21. Please sign up to participate in selling trees. Thanksgiving is one week away, and the Advent season begins November 29. We will celebrate the birth of Jesus, but we also await his Second Coming. We have a lot to be thankful for in this year dominated by the COVID pandemic and its impact on all our lives. We thank the Holy Trinity for our families, friends, parish, Father Matt, Father Bart, Deacon Eric, our community and country, and our Knights of Columbus order, started by the Blessed Michael McGivney. We thank God that two extremely effective COVID vaccines were announced in the last week and we pray that it is administered first to those most vulnerable. I look forward to seeing you at our next virtual membership meeting the evening of December 14, if not sooner. May God continue to bless you and your families and thank you, Brothers, for all you do for our council, parish and community.
